In the last 5 years, property prices in the capital have increased by 60%, which ranks Sofia first among Bulgarian cities, according to the National Statistical Institute. At the end of the fourth quarter of 2020, the prices of new construction in Sofia reported an increase of 51.4% compared to the end of 2015. The old construction registered a more noticeable increase, adding for the period nearly 62% to its price.
In second place is the city of Plovdiv with an increase in property prices by 52% for a period of five years. They are followed by Stara Zagora and Ruse with their 40-42% increase.
