The Government adopted a National Plan for buildings close to zero energy consumption 2015-2020

The aim of the plan is after 2018 practically to build the most energy-efficient buildings.

The idea of ​​the plan is to create conditions for the implementation of the new European policy for energy efficiency. The aim is to change the ratio of units of energy sources used in the buildings, which combined with a very good and balanced for winter and summer energy performance of the building envelope can lead to optimization of the annual expenditure consumption to lowest level, without the comfort of living in the building to be influenced.

It is expected that the implementation of the national plan will reduce the energy demand by improving the energy performance of the building enclosing elements, systems to provide the parameters of the microclimate, as well as other systems, units and appliances in buildings,consuming energy and utilization of renewable energy in buildings close to them.

This will save about 10% of the national energy saving target and 36,685 tons of carbon dioxide emissions by 2020.
