The realization of closed residential complexes in Europe has been observed barely in the last 20 years, in Bulgaria these complexes have been noticed for 10 years.

Security is the main reason people choose to live in a gated complex. The access to them is controlled, the movement of cars at higher speed is limited, making the space around the home safer and more quiet.

Closed residential complexes provide security and safety, but often this is at the expense of personal privacy. In most of these areas there are distinctive rules, such as restrictions in the color of your home or parking conditions for private cars.

Let's not overlook that each construction is dependent on time. Closed complexes are usually one of the last to be renewed. In the long term this is an obvious flaw.

Compared to other neighborhoods, housing in closed complexes offers more demographic and physical identity. However, these standards deter personal expression and diversity - a homogeneous, closed world over time may be suffocating.
