Growth in construction, but at slower paces There is growth in construction in Bulgaria in the last quarter of 2020 according to the National Statistical Institute. However, it is developing at a slower pace than the previous trimesters.

In the last months of 2020, 969 residential buildings were put into operation, which is 3.4% more than the same period in 2019.

138 residential buildings with 1058 dwellings in them were put into operation in the capital. Plovdiv takes second place with 130 buildings, consisting of 820 dwellings. The third place is for Burgas (128 buildings with 492 dwellings.)

The number of newly built houses (which is ¾ of all of the built residential buildings) also increased for the period of October-December, 2020, compared to the same time in 2019.
