The calculations show the average cost of housing in Sofia amounting to $ 533, and the average repayment installment on a mortgage loan for a property of 90 sq.m. nearly $ 576. Rent of this type of dwelling in the central areas of the capital reaches $ 679 per month.

According to a survey, the accessibility of residential properties in the capital compared to last year is improving. Sofia is ranked 68th among the most inaccessible housing markets in the world, with 14 positions compared to last year when it held 54th place.

While in 2017, housing costs "took away" 80.2% ($ 719) of the average monthly income of the Sofia residents, they dropped to 74.1% this year, or 623 dollars, respectively.
